This blog is intended to inform others about my current projects. I also blog about my experiences learning the writing craft and seeking publication. Hopefully my anecdotes will be interesting to laymen and useful to new writers. If you're a veteran author I welcome your criticism and advice.

My Biography
I live in Peoria, IL. I attended Bradley University, earning a BA in history in 2003. The only time I've lived outside of Peoria was from 2007-2009 while earning my MA theology degree at Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH.I've been a professional author for a little over a year. My first short story, "Beta Geminorum" was published by Jersey Devil Press in January, 2012. Another sci-fi short story, "Reign of Terror", saw print in Title Goes Here: in their spring 2012 issue. I have also had articles published in various print and digital media outlets.
My true passion is Soul Saga, a planned four part fantasy novel series. I am now seeking representation for Nethereal, the first complete book in the cycle. The second book, titled Souldancer, is undergoing its penultimate revision and should be finished this year.
In my free time, I read and comment on various literary, film, religious, and news blogs. I am an avid pen and paper RPG enthusiast and I've designed two game systems that my friends and I continue to enjoy. Having a deep interest in music, I also play electric bass. Finally, no bio of mine would be complete without noting my abiding love of horror films.
